Keeping Families Together

Through The Viewfinder: A First-Person Account of Africa, Day 18

What does it take to go from the bottom of the class to the top of the class? Sometimes just a little family stability.

Whitcliff is 6 and in first grade at a private school located in the slums of Nairobi Kenya. His parents used to fight and his dad was not working. He also has an older brother, Fidel, who is 8. When his dad would drink, he would often become violent towards the boys and their mother.

Ministering to Children and Families from the Philippines and Indonesia

What a joy it is for me to connect with those across Asia-Pacific who have been impacted through the ministry of Orphan’s Promise! In 2015, I have been blessed to meet with OP beneficiaries from across India, Thailand, China, Mongolia, and just recently in the Philippines and Indonesia. God is working, and it is exciting to see the transformation that He brings in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

From the Field: A Note from Tim Daniell

Lives Are Being Transformed in Southern and Central Thailand This year, Orphan’s Promise (OP) is blessed to be able to support vulnerable children and families in 12 projects across Thailand, from the far mountainous North to the deep costal South. In August 2015, I had a chance to visit five of these projects with my staff member, Pook, in southern and central Thailand. We were so encouraged by the lives being transformed and the quality project partners Orphan’s Promise is privileged to work with.

Orphan's Promise April Ministry Update

Dear Friends of Orphan’s Promise, The flowers are in full bloom here in Virginia, so that must mean that spring is finally here! Where does the time go? It’s always a privilege for me to pause, reflect, and share with you about the work that Orphan’s Promise is doing around the world. I am truly humbled and amazed that God has opened the door for us to be working in over 60 countries this year!
